I recently have felt like I needed a big infusion of color play. So, I got out the paints, paper, and thread and started playing. What has come from the experiment, so far, is exciting. I have found myself creating abstract mixed media stitched landscapes and floral motifs with bold color and movement. I submitted these works as examples for a residency application. I wait to hear whether I have been accepted to the residency, but in the meantime I continue to play and create along these line right now.
