"Us Women" is a collaborative art exhibit inspired by Jayne Cortez' poem entitled Sacred Trees. "Us Women" artists, Dawn Anthony and Helms Jarrell, reflect on resilience, transformation, resistance, growth, and womanhood through painting thread work, sculpture, paper making, and collage techniques. The pieces are on display January1-March 1, 2023 at the @warehouse242 gallery and are open for viewing on Sundays.
You are invited to view the pieces and meet the artists at an opening reception on Feb 2 from 7-9pm. The artists will host an artist talk from 7:15-7:30 on the night of the reception.
